The DIWA portal
DIWA (Digital Imaging Websites Association) is an international organisation of collaborating websites, all with focus and expertise on digital imaging. DIWA has two primary functions, DIWA Awards - a symbol of recognition given to products with excellent overall qualities, and DIWA Labs - a scientific test lab for unbiased measurements of image quality. DIWA AWARDSUnlike other awards, DIWA Awards are issued any time of the year, based on individual expert evaluations of multiple product samples. A unique online scoreboard system is developed, dedicated to product category, where more than 200 product details are evaluated and rated by DIWA member experts. Products with exceptionally high total scores are honoured with a DIWA Gold Award. The best Gold winners in each product category from previous year are awarded the annual DIWA Platinum Award. DIWA LABS
A combination of product expertise and scientific test data is required to make trusted, unbiased reviews. Any DIWA member website has the experts to take care of the evaluation part, such as physical characteristics, handling, user-friendliness etc. These findings are summarised by our scoreboard system. However, to define image quality in comparable values, scientific test data are required. They are provided by DIWA Labs, one of the best equipped and well recognised test labs in the world.
